Chhota Imambara, also known as Imambara Hussainabad Mubarak, is an architectural marvel located in the city of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. It was built by Nawab Muhammad Ali Shah of Awadh in 1838. The term "Imambara" refers to a congregation hall for Shia Muslims, commonly used for mourning during the Islamic month of Muharram, especially to commemorate the martyrdom of the Imam. The complex includes the main Imambara building, which is adorned with domes, minarets and exquisite chandeliers.
